Speaking of Free. FeedDemon Now Free.

Wednesday 9 January 2008 - Filed under Code

When I was using Windows I was always a big fan of Nick Bradbury’s FeedDemon (a RSS reader). If you don’t know, Nick was the original author of our beloved Homesite, so I know he makes good software. :) FeedDemon and Nick Bradbury have grown over the years. They were acquired by NewsGator, and now have a big offering of offline and online RSS related tools.

Today Nick announced that FeedDemon is now free!

I no longer run Windows (woohoo!), and have migrated all my RSS chores to Google Reader. I honestly don’t know if I could go back to a client based reader but if you are running Windows and haven’t checked out FeedDemon yet now is your chance!

Nick – love your software, you just need to start working on some Linux stuff! :)

On a slightly related note… if you have any interest in resurrecting Homesite there are a few raging ColdFusion IDE discussions going on… :)
