ValidateThis

  • Monday, July 30 2012

I've been a fan of ValidateThis and cfUniform for some time. Unfortunately I don't get to use them as much as I like as the majority of my work is maintaining old spaghetti code.

Recently though I've been working on a new project and have implemented them both.

I was digging through the cfUniform docs and noticed a few new "VT" attributes:

New cfUniform attributes for ValidateThis
@VT If you want to use VT in conjunction with your cfUniForm-powered form, provide the ValidateThis object to this attribute.
@VTtarget If you want to use VT in conjunction with your cfUniForm-powered form, provide the target object to this attribute; that is, the object that VT should be validating.
@VTcontext If you want to use VT in conjunction with your cfUniForm-powered form, provide the validation context to this attribute.
@VTlocale If you want to use VT in conjunction with your cfUniForm-powered form, provide the locale to this attribute.
